Polypropylene staple fiber (PP fiber) is a lightweight, chemically inert synthetic fiber with a density of only 0.91 g/cm³, outstanding acid and alkali resistance, stable wet strength and low moisture absorption. Different grades are custom-engineered to satisfy distinct performance requirements across concrete reinforcement, hygiene nonwovens, geotextile engineering, automotive interiors and industrial filtration. Hubei Botao Synthetic Fiber and Jiangsu Botao New Material supply a complete spectrum of PP staple fiber, with denier ranging from 0.3D to 110D and cut length adjustable between 5mm and 150mm, delivering tailored grades for each vertical industry.
For concrete reinforcement, Botao supplies monofilament micro PP fiber, commonly available in cut lengths of 3mm,6mm,9mm and12mm. This grade features good dispersion inside cement matrix, effectively bridging microcracks caused by plastic shrinkage and drying shrinkage, improving concrete impermeability, impact resistance and surface spalling resistance. It complies with ASTM C1116 and EN14889 standards, widely applied in industrial flooring, shotcrete, tunnel lining, reservoir and highway pavement, with typical dosage at 0.6–1.8 kg per cubic meter of concrete.
Hygiene-grade fine denier PP fiber ranges from 0.3D to 2.0D. It adopts virgin PP raw material, low-static modification and high whiteness treatment. The fiber delivers soft handfeel and excellent carding performance, suitable for sanitary napkins, disposable diapers and wet wipe nonwovens. Strict impurity control and low extractable substances meet global hygiene contact requirements, avoiding skin irritation for end consumers.
High-tenacity UV-stabilized PP fiber for geotextile is normally 6D–15D, cut length 38–64mm. Added with HALS anti-UV additives, it maintains tensile strength under long-term outdoor exposure. This grade is used for needle-punched geotextile in slope protection, landfill liner, road subgrade and hydraulic projects, providing separation, filtration, drainage and reinforcement functions, conforming to ASTM and EN geosynthetic standards.
Automotive low-VOC PP staple fiber targets interior nonwoven parts, including trunk liners, wheel arch felt, carpet backing and sound insulation materials. It undergoes special low-odor modification, with low thermal shrinkage and controlled volatile organic compound emission. The fiber satisfies automotive OEM interior testing specifications, balancing lightweight, sound absorption and dimensional stability.
Filtration grade PP fiber includes multiple variants for air filter felt and liquid filter media. Fine denier grades form uniform small pore structures for fine particle interception, while coarse high-loft grades are used for dust collection and wastewater filter fabrics. With excellent chemical resistance, it works stably under acidic and alkaline liquid environments.
Every grade passes systematic quality inspection covering raw material check, online spinning monitoring and finished batch testing. We provides sample testing, customized color and functional modification services. Global industrial purchasers can select corresponding PP fiber grades according to processing technology and end-use environment, to optimize production efficiency and finished product performance.
